CW Touchdown Booster meetings are the first Monday of each month, 7pm in the CWHS library

The Canal Winchester Touchdown Booster Club serves as the primary support system for the CWMS and CWHS Indians Football Program, aiming to promote and financially assist the football organization. Our mission extends beyond providing financial resources; we also work closely with the coaches and staff to ensure that every player receives the necessary support both on and off the field. Together, we strive for excellence, evidenced by our continued recognition with the All Ohio Academic Football Award from the OHSFCA.

If your child is part of the 7th-12th grade football program, your family is automatically part of the Canal Winchester Touchdown Club Booster. We rely on volunteers and fundraising efforts from each family to sustain our operations and provide essential equipment, uniforms, team meals, and more.

While the excitement of game nights may be the most visible aspect, there is a vast amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to prepare for those moments. Coaches dedicate countless hours to shaping our young athletes into a competitive team, while the booster club ensures they have the resources necessary for success. However, these efforts require financial support as we do not receive any proceeds from ticket sales, concessions, or pay-to-participate fees.

Throughout the year, the TD Club organizes various fundraising activities to cover expenses such as football equipment, uniforms, practice and game day needs, filming equipment, team meals, and other essential items for players and coaches. Additionally, funds are allocated towards miscellaneous expenses like insurance, trailer maintenance, and administrative fees.

We invite you to join us as a volunteer or reach out with any questions by contacting us at cwtouchdownclub@gmail.com. Together, we can ensure the continued success of our football program and provide invaluable support to our student-athletes.

Most frequent asked questions from parents?

  1. Why do we fundraise so much?

    • The football booster does not receive any pay-to-participate fees, revenue from concessions or game day ticket sales. Therefore, fundraising is essential to cover the significant expenses associated with running the CWMS and CWHS football program.

  2. How much financial support does the booster club need?

    • The financial needs of the booster club may come as a surprise to many. For instance, essential equipment like a 5-man sled can cost almost $8,000, and such equipment is necessary for practices but not provided by the school. Additionally, uniforms alone can range from $200 to $500 per player for home and away games, considering the need for multiple sets of jerseys and pants for each player. With over 130 players in total, the costs quickly add up, and this doesn't even include expenses for other equipment, meals, or various items used during practices and games.
